It took a few extra innings but the Bronx Bombers got it done Tuesday night defeating the Baltimore Orioles 5-4.

The Yankees got on the board quickly as Derek Jeter hit a booming lead off Home Run off of Baltimore's Wei-Yin Chen. Baltimore would answer back at the bottom of the first as J.J. Hardy would belt a homer off of Freddy Garcia. A wild pitch would score Nick Markakis later that same inning. Wild Pitches would be Garcia's downfall as he would throw 5 of them in 4 2/3 innings while allowing 4 runs. The Yankees would rally the troops in the top of the 6th scoring 3 runs to tie the score at 4 apiece.

Yankees and Orioles Relief pitching would do a great job as there would be scoreless baseball until the 12th when Raul Ibanez would hit a ground rule double that would score Robinson Cano. Mariano Rivera would handle things in the bottom of the 12th to give the Yankees their second win of the season.

The Yankees and Orioles will wrap up this series Wednesday night as CC Sabathia will take on Jake Arrieta. Hear all the action on 104.5 The Team with the Pre-game at 6:30 and the first pitch at 7:05.
