As MLB free agents continue to sign, some teams still have yet to fill holes in their roster. The Yankees are one of those teams.

New York desperately needs a starting pitcher to add depth to the rotation.  Yesterday, rumors swirled of the team shopping SP Ivan Nova, although there are not many takers. No matter what, they need to add a pitcher.

There are two legitimate options that are really left on the table that the Yankees should most certainly take a look at.

The first is Scott Kazmir.  There are a handful of teams ahead of the Yankees heading efforts to sign the lefty including division foe Baltimore.  The Yankees need to make a move on Kazmir.  He had solid numbers last season before being traded to Houston as he tallied a 5-5 record for a team that couldn't score runs and maintained a 2.38 ERA.

The other option would be Matt Latos formerly of the Anaheim Angles.  His free agent market has heated up lately after the St. Louis Cardinals signed Mike Leake.  Latos had a season that saw him on 4 different teams, but showed some of the velocity and movement in his pitches since his days with the Padres.

The Yankees may not sign either of these options, but they should be considerations for the Bombers.
