If anyone can find Hank and Hal Steinbrenner, tell them priority #1 should be to get rid of Alex Rodriguez's contract.  It is the ultimate albatross in baseball and keeping the Yankees from doing so many things, such as getting below the luxury tax, building an actual team and being free of tabloid nonsense reserved for clowns.

Five years left.  $137.5 million left.  A-Rod is overpaid and washed-up.  A broken-down steroid user.  He cheated the team and the game and its fans.  And yet got support after doing so.  How did he repay baseball's greatest franchise and its fans and his teammates at the press conference where he admitted to juicing for so long?  By spending $4,000 a month with Biogenesis and then paying people off to not report information about the lab, known as Balco East, and himself.  Oh, and A-Rod was found in 16 Biogenesis documents, obtained by the Miami New Times.  What a joke.

A-Rod's contract is the worst thing in baseball and in sports.  A complete disaster.  The Yankees are the ones to blame, Brian Cashman and the brain trust and the Steinbrenners, all of them.  They stupidly brought back Rodriguez after he opted out during the 2007 World Series and added years and money and incentives.  The Yankees got themselves into this mess.  Now they have to get out of it ASAP and it doesn't matter how.
