One of the Yankees priorities this off season is pitching. When it comes to high profile free agent Roy Oswalt though, the bombers aren't interested.

Roy Oswalt is a big free agent this offseason, and normally when a name like his comes up one of the first teams to go after a free agent like him would be the New York Yankees.  Right now though, the Yankees aren't interested in the starting pitcher.

The reason why the Yankees aren't biting?  Oswalts history with back problems.  He has been dealing with back trouble since his Houston days and reportedly has 2 degenerative discs.  It would be more of a headache to bring him into a pitching rotation that already needs work.
