The New York Yankees are in a very interesting place this season. On pace to win over a 100 games, currently sitting in the top Wild Card spot but because of just how good the Boston Red Sox are Yankees fans seem to be close to panic mode. Wally Matthews has covered the Yankees for years now and has his opinions on this season.

The biggest questions for the Yankees clearly come from the starting pitching. After another rough outing from Yankees' Ace Luis Severino what does Matthews think the Yankees need to do to catch the Red Sox (if he believes there's any chance) or advance past the Wild Card play-in game? The acquisition of JA Happ and Lance Lynn could end up being the key to any chance the Yankees have of continuing deeper into the playoffs than they did last year.
