While the back-end of the Yankees dynamic has drawn massive praise and seen great success in the first two months of the baseball seasons, one of the guys who gets the ball to Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman has not.

And now maybe we know why:

Shreve is on the 15-day disabled list now with that sprained left AC joint. He is 1-1 with a 5.16 ERA this year and has given up seven home runs in just 19 innings.

It's important that he get healthy and effective because he's a good weapon for Joe Girardi in that bullpen if any of the "Big 3" are unavailable to pitch. He appeared in 59 games a season ago, pitching to a 3.09 ERA. His good velocity helped him strike out 64 batters in just over 58 innings.

Alex Rodriguez is now active off the DL and he started the game yesterday for the Yanks against the Blue Jays, a 3-1 loss.
