The Yankees were able to capitalize on some throwing errors and a great day on the mound from CC Sabathia for a 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Another big day for CC Sabathia and yet more proof that was the biggest snub for Tuesday's All Star game.  He throws the complete game shutout in the Yankees 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.  CC worked for 9 innings allowing just 4 hits and striking out 9.

It was a good thing that Sabathia was on his a-game  because the Yankee bats provided him with no support.  They only had 4 hits against the Rays James Shields.  The only Yankee run came from a throwing error from Shields.  So the Yankees take 2 of 3 from Tampa Bay on the historic weekend.

When asked about how he felt about the All Star game CC Sabathia said that he already had other plans:

I was going to the Bahamas the whole time because I was pitching today

-CC Sabathia

So it seems that Sabathia isn't letting it get to him. Heading into the all star break the Yankees are a game back of the Boston Red Sox who swept the Orioles over the weekend to extend their win streak to 6 games.
