The New York Yankees defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 9-3. The Yanks sweep the series against the Blue Jays. It's their 8th sweep of the season. Derek Jeter provided much of the offense with 5 RBI. CC Sabathia provided the Yankees with another quality start.

Well the update is that there's no change to the rotation. Joe Girardi will still send out AJ Burnett and Phil Hughes to make another start. Joe Girardi had mentioned that he would bring the rotation from 6 to 5 with a decision coming after Sunday's game. Well after the conclusion of Sunday's game, no change was made and Girardi will still roll with the 6 starters.

Well we liked what we saw out of our starters lately and this gives us the opportunity to give guys an extra day of rest like CC.  -Joe Girardi after Sunday's game-

Derek Jeter was the star of the game with 5 RBI including a 3-run home run. The most RBI in one game since 2005 against the Cubs when he smacks his one and only career grand slam. Nick Swisher and Alex Rodriguez also smacked home runs in the game.

Mark Teixeira returned to the Yankee lineup on Sunday after taking a couple days to rest his sore knee. Teixeira went 1-5 on the afternoon.

CC Sabathia provided yet another quality start going 7 1/3 innings pitched giving up 6 hits, 2 runs, walking 1 and striking out 10. With the win, CC moves to 19-7 on the season.
