The New York Yankees just finished a series against the Royals in which they won 3-of-4 games and their bats came alive in nearly all of them. Still 7 games out of first place in the division, the Yankees are going to look to their young talent in order to help them get out of this hole.

The Yankees are set to add that youth this week. According to Shane Hennigan, a beat writer for the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees, New York is set to call up prospect Gary Sanchez this week. The 36th ranked prospect on Baseball America's top 100 list, Sanchez has had a pretty good season in triple-A thus far with a slash-line of .280/.330/.542 and he has also launched five home runs.

With a number of players on the DL and a bit banged up, Sanchez will need to prove himself valuable in order to stay on the team long-term throughout the rest of the season.

With a number of lefties slated to pitch against the Yankees as they play the White Sox this weekend, Sanchez will likely get some playing time.
