Yankees defeated the Rays on Wednesday night 4-0 thanks to a great start by Freddy Garcia, a big 2-run home run from Granderson as well as a game-saving catch by Granderson in the 5th inning.

How important was this win? What are the latest Yankee trade rumors heading to the deadline?

This win was a big win since Freddy Garcia bounced back from a sub-par performance against Toronto and put up 6 and 2/3 innings of shutout baseball. He scattered 8 hits and got out of a couple of jams but was helped out by his defense and his pitching. Yankee fans got concerned about the future of Garcia and of Bartolo Colon after their outings in Toronto. But both have bounced back nicely in consecutive games.

Having these two players back in order is important as the Yankees are rumored to be going after starting pitching. Rumors continue to swirl about Ubaldo Jimenez and others around the league as the July 31 deadline approaches. Yankees also have rumors tied to relievers such as Mike Adams and Heath Bell in San Diego just to name a couple of other examples.

It'll be interesting to see what happens through the rest of this month for the Bronx Bombers! What do you think the Yankees should do come trade deadline time? Post your thoughts below!
