The Yankees got a bases loaded walk by Russell Martin in the top of the 9th inning, which gave them the 5-4 lead and win over the Rays Monday night. AJ Burnett had a rough outing for the Yanks while the bullpen led the rally by the Bronx Bombers as they recorded the win.

What does this win mean for the Yanks? Which injured players are soon to come back for the Yanks?

This four game series for the Yankees against the Tampa Bay Rays is important since the Yankees are in the wild card battle against the Rays. Though Monday night's win stretched the lead for the Yanks to six and a half games. This series could prove to be costly for the Rays if they lose further ground to the Yankees. The Rays are on the border of being buyers or sellers come trade deadline time. A series win against the Yankees could make them buyers while a series loss will most likely make them sellers.

AJ Burnett turned in a bit of a shaky outing going 5 1/3 innings, giving up 8 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), 6 walks, and striking out 4.

For the Yankees, they have two injured players on their way back. Both Eric Chavez and Rafael Soriano are about to rehab in the minors. Both are scheduled to make starts throughout this week. They could be back as early as late next weekend into early next week. Chavez would certainly help stabilize a depleted bench, which took another hit on Monday with Ramiro Pena's emergency appendicitis procedure. Soriano would certainly solidify the back end of the bullpen, supporting Robertson in the bridge to Mariano Rivera.
