Ladies and gentlemen, it's official: I am on the Yasiel Puig bandwagon. During yesterday's day/night doubleheader against the New York Yankees, Puig had four hits, including an opposite field home run that he made look completely effortless.

After yesterday's action, Puig's batting average stands at an inhuman .474 after 15 games, 14 of which he has hit safely in. He isn't just hitting the ball, he is tearing the cover off it it. Combine that with his unbelievable athleticism on the bases and in the field, and baseball finally has an athlete to market the sport in the post-steroid era.

Colin Cowherd said it best about Puig, saying that guys with his build and athleticism are usually not likely to choose to play baseball. Guys like Yasiel Puig play football or football in today's society. Fortunately for Major League Baseball, that isn't the case with Yasiel Puig.
