The New York Rangers were very mum when it came to the injury of forward Mats Zuccarello, many believed it was a concussion, but on Monday the Norwegian forward told reporters that it was much much worst.

After Zuccarello was hit in the head by teammate Ryan McDonagh's shot during Game 5 of the Rangers' series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, he lost the ability to speak for four days, and he also temporarily lost feeling in his arm.

Doctors told the 27-year old that he had some blood in his brain, but would make a full recovery. "The doctors say I'm going to be fine," Zuccarello said as he and his teammates went through end-of-season formalities at the team's training facility. "So I'm going to stay positive, take the summer to rest and get ready for next season."

The absence of Zucc throughout the playoffs was one that the team felt all over the ice, they will hope to bounce back next year to reach their ultimate goal, and host the Stanley Cup Trophy.
