As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

Gerrit Cole And The Yankees Have Plenty To Smile About [LISTEN]
Last week when ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney made his weekly appearance on Levack and Bahl here on 1045 The Team, he accused me(Levack) of living on "Bitter Boulevard." Here we are a week later and the New York Yankees appear to have found their stride winning four of the five games since Buster told me to enjoy the Yankees because they are for real. Buster covers all the latest headlines in Major League Baseball including how seriously the recent COVID-19 issues could effect not only the Yankees but all of baseball.
Knicks Still Here And Headed To The Playoffs!!!
Last night when the Boston Celtics lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 102-94 the New York Knicks locked up no worse than the 6th see in the Eastern Conference playoffs. No play in games and no saying "there's always next year" before the regular season even ends. For the first time since 2013 when the #2 seed Knicks beat the Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs before the Indiana Pacers sent them packing in the Conference semi-finals, the Knicks are in the postseason!

Yankees Hope Returning Star Won’t Have A ‘Cool Hand’
The New York Yankees have seemingly turned around a season that got off to a pretty awful start after going 7 - 2 in their last homestand. The Yankees haven't lost a series since they were swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-game series from April 16th - 18th. So even though things have been good it'll be a major boost if First Baseman Luke Voit comes in hot tonight in his return from the Injured List when the Yankees begin a three-game midweek series in Tampa versus those same Rays.

Rangers Vs Capitals Has NHL Insider On ‘The Edge Of Her Seat’ [LISTEN]
The "fight" between Washington Capitals' Tom Wilson and New York Rangers' Artemi Panarin has set the hockey world on fire. As a fan of the Rangers I am obviously furious that Panarin is done for the year after what is clearly a cheap shot from Wilson. I'm also a fan of physical play and have zero issues with open ice fights in the NHL. So I wanted to make sure I wasn't being a total homer when I was outrage by Wilson's actions and the lack of action from the NHL. So we called Mollie Walker of the New York Post and the way she explains the incident clears any doubt from me.
