There are times I look around and feel like I've finally made it in this world. One of those times happened today when my friend John Swedish from Death Wish Coffee paid off our Fantasy Football bet. The Death Wish Coffee Fantasy Football League is always one of my favorites to compete in not just because I love my friends at DWC but also because a listener gets to join every year as well. This year was even sweeter because I WON and this SWEET SWEET personalized mug was on the line.

Buster Olney Updates MLB’s Chance Of Return [AUDIO]
ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney has been heckled a bit on the show due to his "Dr. Doom" attitude towards the return of Major League Baseball. That's not to say that Buster's negative outlook as to the start and even more negative outlook the chances they complete the 60 game season plus playoffs is wrong. It's just to say that the always realistic Buster has been the voice of a potential reality many of us don't want to hear. With big-name players like Atlanta Braves Outfielder Nick Markakis decided to opt-out of this season due to the risks of COVID-19 is Buster somehow even LESS confident about this season now?

Every year ESPN College Basketball Analyst Seth Greenberg covers the games and adds play by play. This year may be different but Greenberg is still adding his insight.

Are The Mets Built For This Season? [AUDIO]
In a season built far more like a sprint than a marathon, the New York Mets may actually be a true contender. The Mets lineup seems to resemble an American League lineup way more than a National League roster. The implementation of a designated hitter for the NL and 102 less regular-season games might payoff for the Mets.

Could The Pandemic Speed Up Mobile Betting? [AUDIO]
Long before the sports world was brought to a screeching halt, Gaming Law and Sports Betting Attorney Daniel Wallach was pushing New York State to allow mobile betting. So far he's had little luck convincing the state governing body including governor Andrew Cuomo that there's no need for any laws to change to allow mobile wagering. The question is now with the state bending laws to support local restaurants and bars would it be more willing to allow mobile betting if it could help casinos like Rivers in Schenectady stay profitable during quarantine?

The ongoing negotiations between the MLB and the MLBPA have been anything but promising. One moment the MLBPA turns down the MLB and the next it's the other way around. I've had fun calling ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney a "Negative Nancy" because is faith in the two sides coming together in "good faith" has not been very strong. We continue to catch up with former Albany Empire players, coaches, and personnel with the former COO George Manias. George was a key figure in getting the Empire up and running as well as winning a championship in just the second year of the team's existence. So when George Manias hints to pro sports returning to the Capital Region you can bet I listen.
