Huerter Narrows Choices to Six

Shenendehowa rising senior Kevin Huerter has narrowed a list of more than two dozen suitors down to six.

According to an article on YourCliftonPark.com, Huerter has listed his top six as: Creighton, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Villanova; of those schools, Huerter has made unofficial visits to Iowa, Maryland, and Villanova.

Update, 8:45 AM: My sources indicate that they hear the most buzz regarding Huerter and Maryland, Notre Dame, and Michigan.

Huerter received scholarship offers from all around the country after helping lead Shenedehowa to the NYS Class AA State Title and helping lead the Albany City Rocks on the summer AAU circuit.

Huerter reportedly has already set official visits for Maryland and Notre Dame. He also has apparently not ruled out Davidson or Syracuse.

'Cuse offered Huerter for the 2017 season, which would mean he would need to go to prep school for a year, but the article states Huerter does not plan on going prep.

“The intention all along has been to go to college for 2016,” he said. “But if I go to a school and fall in love, and they say there’s only room for me in 2017, then it’s a possibility I’d do it," he said.
