Steve Miller Cancelled Entire Upcoming Tour, Including 2 New York Shows, Due To Weather

The Steve Miller Band cancelled all of their upcoming tour dates due to weather? The Steve Miller Band was scheduled to play Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY on August 15th and the New York State Fair on August 21st. Now these dates and more have been called off.

On Wednesday July 16th the Steve Miller Band shared an announcement on their social media pages informing fans that "you can blame the weather" for the cancellation. Full statement below.

Over the years many artists have cancelled concerts and entire tours for a variety of reasons but this might be the first time an entire tour was cancelled for what might happen regarding weather.

Dear Steve Miller Band fans, You make music with your instincts. You live your life by your instincts. Always trust your instincts. The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates. The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So, you can blame it on the weather. The tour is cancelled. Don’t know where, don’t know when.
