It’ll Cost You More To Park At This Upstate New York Airport
An Upstate New York airport is raising the prices of both long and short-term parking. This will be the first increase in five years.
Albany International Airport is raising its parking prices. Why the change? Last fall, the airport hired Walker Consultants to compare their prices to similar airports in New York and New England. The study revealed that Albany International Airport's rates hadn’t kept up with inflation or other facilities in the region.
With nearly three million travelers passing through annually, this small increase will help cover rising costs and keep things running smoothly. The additional revenue will support shuttle services, parking lot maintenance, and other important upgrades.
Albany International Airport is raising its parking rates for the first time in five years. Garage parking (North and South) will now cost $18 per day, long-term parking lots will be $12 per day, and the economy shuttle lot will charge $7 per day. Short-term parking stays the same at $24 per day.
Steve Smith, the airport’s communications director, summed it up nicely:
Our parking options are super convenient no matter how long your trip is. These adjustments will help us keep delivering the great service passengers expect and make Albany’s airport a place people can be proud of.
In short, the new rates aim to balance affordability with maintaining a top-notch experience for travelers. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a long vacation, parking at Albany International Airport remains easy and accessible.
