A brand new "dazzling" drive-thru Christmas lights display will debut this holiday season at Altamont Fairgrounds.

Ever since Capital Holiday Lights stopped putting on its annual Christmas light display in Albany's Washington Park a couple of years ago, folks living in the greater Albany area have not had a great drive-thru option to enjoy the spirit of the season. That will change this Christmas with the arrival at a new drive-thru light display!

Fair Manager Amy Anderson says "Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. It takes me back to when I was a child, and I believed in the Magic of the Season. We are so excited to bring that Magic to our own back yard. We cannot wait to share the peace and joy with our friends and families here at The Altamont Fairgrounds.”

Magic of Lights will kick off at the Altamont Fairgrounds on Friday, November 22nd and will run through Saturday, January 4th. Hours of operation Monday through Thursday will be 5:30 to 9pm and Friday through Sunday from 5:30to 10:00pm, starting from November 22nd through January 4th. Discounted tickets are on sale now at $18 for a standard vehicle and $50 for a limo/party bus here.
