Experience The Magic Of Troy’s Victorian Stroll This December
The holidays are sneaking up on us, and that means one of Troy’s most loved traditions is almost here again. The Victorian Stroll is coming back for its forty-third year, and it always brings a little extra sparkle to downtown.
On December 7th, starting at 11 in the morning, the whole area turns into this fun, old-fashioned holiday scene. Picture music on every corner, people dressed in fancy Victorian outfits, and the streets feeling a little bit like a Christmas movie. You definitely do not have to dress up, but honestly, it is pretty fun if you do.
All day long, events are happening everywhere you look. In past years, you could hear carolers singing, see clog dancers doing their thing, and wander through a maker’s market filled with cool handmade gifts. The local restaurants and shops also get into the spirit with warm snacks, sweet treats, and plenty of holiday specials while you explore.
One of the highlights every year is the window decorating contest. Last year, the theme was Favorite Christmas Movie, and places like The Dutch Udder Ice Cream, Butterfly Plant Studio, and McAddy’s Pub went all out. This year, the theme is Favorite Holiday Song, so we are about to see some very creative windows.
The stroll goes from 11 am to 5 pm on December 7th, and the fun kicks off a few days early with the tree lighting on December 3rd at 5:30 pm in downtown Troy. It is such a great way to ease into the holiday season.
