
Winter Storm Watch Issued For Upstate NY: How Much Snow Will We Get?
December is here, and so is a Winter Storm Watch to kick off the holiday season.
I guess there are 2 ways two ways to look at this one. With the Christmas season officially underway, we will get our first solid snowfall to really kickstart the holiday spirit for some. Or, for others, it will be a dream with supercharged daydreams of mid-July on Lake George or that next tropical getaway.
Whatever the angle, our first decent snowfall of the season is on the way.
Winter Storm Watch Issued For Greater Capital Region & Upstate NY
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for east central and eastern New York, western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. Heavy snow is expected with accumulations of 7 inches ot more possible.
According to News Channel 13, we can expect anywhere from 4″ to 7-8″ of snow with maller amounts in the northern Adirondacks and"...more in parts of the Catskills as well as the Rensselaer Plateau into the southern Greens and the Berkshires."
