Knicks fans weren't necessarily happy with the selection of Kristaps Porzingis in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft, but on Thursday night, he helped ease some of the pain.

In just his second game -- and first at Madison Square Garden -- Porzingis wowed the crowd with a steal and crowd-pleasing dunk vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

There's a lot to like about this play and I'll tell you below the video:

1. Watch as Porzingis is able to dribble with his left hand. To be able to handle the ball at 7 foot 3 is a huge asset, and it's rare.

2. Watch as he's able to keep the dribble after the spin. That's not an easy thing to do at full speed.

3. He's able to elevate.

Porzingis doesn't fit the usual European stereotypes. He's not a slow and unathletic, and he's not soft.

Ever since I saw him in summer league, I've liked Porzingis' game.

Knicks fans should be happy with him.
