Saratoga native Tim Stauffer continued his recent dominance on Tuesday night.  The Padres pitcher picked up his 3rd straight win as San Diego defeated the San Francisco Giants, 5-3.

He got the victory against the Giants team that knocked them out of the playoffs on the final day of the 2010 season.

Stauffer didn't even have his best stuff last night as he went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs (two earned) on eight hits. It was the first time since June 2nd that he didn't go at least seven innings.

The Spa Catholic graduate is 4-1 in his last six starts with a 1.29 ERA. His ERA during his three-game winning streak is 2.25. He is 5-5 on the season with a 2.97 ERA over a Padres-leading 18 starts. The Padres are 10-8 in his starts.
