Siena’s Jalen Pickett Enters His Name into NBA Draft

With the deadline for players to enter their names into the NBA Draft nearing, Siena point guard Jalen Pickett made it known he would be testing the professional waters. After a breakout freshman season with the Saints, there was early speculation about whether Pickett would be a candidate to transfer to a bigger conference and bigger program. Whether or not fans saw the NBA coming following only one season is another story.

As a freshman, Pickett averaged 16 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds while leading Siena to a second place regular season finish in the MAAC. In January, Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo had Pickett on his list of "Five Mid-Major NBA Draft Prospects to Watch."
