America East Championship

The UAlbany women’s basketball team has a lot answers this season and none bigger than Meghan Huerter.

Last year the Danes were knocked out of the tournament in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by Maryland, who went on to win it all. This year the Danes already beat the Terrapins and will be looking to bring home a banner.

I've been to a lot of basketball games, but this ending might be the best.

Yesterday, I broke down the America East men's championship game between the UAlbany Great Danes and Vermont Catamounts. Now it's time to take a look at the women's title game between the Great Danes and Hartford Hawks.

After a thrilling run through the first two rounds of the America East basketball championships, UAlbany is faced with the daunting task of heading north to Patrick Gym in Burlington to take on the second seeded Vermont Catamounts on Saturday.

Make room on that bandwagon Great Danes fans. I want a seat!  Listen, I am all about the Big East Tournament. I love St. John's even though we stink and have no shot. I am all about the Big East. I grew up watching it, loved it and I won't get all pollyannish, but I am going to miss the real Big East, make no mistake...
