Peyton Manning tied an NFL record by throwing seven touchdown passes in a game, and the Denver Broncos beat the Baltimore Ravens, 49-27, in the opener of the 2013 NFL season in Denver on Thursday night.

For the first time in forever, the AFC North will be missing Ray Lewis, a future Hall of Famer who retired after an exciting Super Bowl win.  That is a good thing for all teams save the defending champion Baltimore Ravens.  How will this division play out...

Robert Griffin III and Mike Shanahan battled their way through preseason up until this point with RG III telling the media he wants to play in the exhibition games and that will be ready for Week 1.  Shanahan disputed RG III being ready for the opener and said the second year QB won't play much in the preseason if at all.
