Curtis Granderson was injured on the first pitch of Spring Training, with a broken forearm.  And now, after sitting for weeks, is out again, this time getting hit by a pitch on his left hand  in the fifth inning and breaking his pinkie in Tampa Bay on Friday, May 24.

Andy Pettitte, the old grizzly veteran of the Yankee rotation, is off to a fast start with a 3-0 record and just over 2.00 ERA despite his age and recent back spasms.  Can he hold up?  The Yankees' season partly depends on it.  If Pettitte stays healthy, the sky is the limit on what he can do this season...

Derek Jeter recently suffered another setback when a CT scan revealed a crack in his injured and rehabbing ankle.  Jeter said he was going to be ready for Opening Day many weeks ago.  Now it will be at least July before the Yankee captain returns, according to general manager Brian Cashman...

And the bad news continues with the Yankee captain.  Derek Jeter had a CT scan of his injured ankle and it revealed a small crack.  "We're looking at, in terms of speculation when Derek Jeter will be back with us, sometime after the All-Star break," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told ESPNNewYork.com.
