The night cap of what was a good day of NFL football turned out to be a one-sided affair. Coming off of a disappointing loss to the Lions last week the Bears took it to the Minnesota Adrian Peterson's - an organization once stocked with...well, talent. The talent still around failed to show up for the Vikings until, in small measure, the fourth quarter. This was a dominating Bears win.
The Detroit Lions came into their home Monday Night Football game against the division rival Chicago Bears looking to continue their unbeaten run to start the 2011 season, and they do just that behind the rushing of Jahvid Best.
Wanting to stress that some people have questioned Jay Cutler’s toughness, Fox Sports ran a graphic on air of a series of headlines — including “Cutler Lacks Courage” — during the Chicago Bears season opener that criticized Cutler in Chicago for leaving last season’s NFC Championship game last season with an injury.
The New York Giants got a solid effort from their offense, defense and special teams in a 41-13 victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday night at the Meadowlands.
But New York's win also came with a big loss. Starting cornerback Terrell Thomas suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Cutler stood on the sideline against the Packers in the NFC Championship Game because of a sprained MCL. A sprained MCL? Terrible. I love the people who are justifying Cutler's actions and trying to apologize for this wuss.
