Cliff Lee is the topic of MANY trade rumors. Some of which include the New York Yankees. Lee had his first start back from the DL last night pitching 5 2/3 innings giving up 12 hits, 6 runs and a homer. Not the best return but he is now my favorite interview subject...

Back in 2010, the Yankees failed to get Cliff Lee because minor league infielder David Adams didn't pass a physical due to a bum ankle and so the trade never happened with Seattle and Lee went to Texas instead and helped the Rangers win the pennant.  Lee, at that time, was the surest pitcher in baseball.  He isn't that now, at the age of 34, but the Yankees should still go get him.

The baseball season is here - finally - as pitchers and catchers reported for duty down in Florida and out in Arizona today. After an off-season that saw Boston acquire two All-Stars, Manny go to Tampa and my Orioles add 5 impact players - the biggest off-season move in Major League Baseball was a move that didn't even happen.

The way in which Cliff Lee handled his “Decision” to go to Philadelphia could have served as a model for LeBron James, were he given the opportunity to do it all over again.

For every Yankee fan who is still not over the initial shock of Cliff Lee taking his talents to Philly, there should be at least two Mets fans who are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel get further and further away.
