John Mara is president and CEO of the Giants. Mara is the person that most Big Blue fans recognize as the team owner. The other owner, Steve Tisch, is the team's chairman and executive vice president. However, Tisch has spent most of his tenure in the behind the scenes, especially over the past few years after suffering a loss of his daughter in August of 2020. Following the Giants' 31-24 victory on Sunday, the 73 year-old film and television producer had some enthusiastic words about his team.

This is no secret. The New York Giants need some offensive production. In week 8, prior to the bye, the Seattle Seahawks held quarterback Daniel Jones to 176 passing yards. That's not an alarmingly low number. However, when the total number of offensive yards totals 225 for the game, then the Giants have an issue they need to address.

With the firing of general manager Dave Gettleman and head coach Joe Judge came the realization that the New York Giants football organization was a complete mess and it was time to get back to basics. New general manager Joe Schoen and his trusted head coach Brian Daboll should come to their own realization, no matter what anyone tells you, Big Blue had better start winning some football games quickly or the next hot-dynamic duo will be leading the Giants in 3 years. Translation: loyalty to any of the players of the past regime should go right out the window.

Tom Coughlin was politely sent packing by former general manager Jerry Reese after four dismal years in a row. Eli Manning was the quarterback in 2016. He threw for over 4000 yards and 26 touchdowns. Wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. owned over 1300 of those yards from Manning and had 10 of those touchdown receptions. To many, that was the end of the good times for Big Blue and their fans.
