The NBA season could soon be starting and as early as Christmas Day because the players and owners have apparently reached a deal.  The news broke early Saturday morning.

The NBA has cancelled more games as the players reject the owners' latest offer.

We are halfway through the month on November and no solution to the NBA lockout is on the horizon.  The two parties continue to meet, but sources say that the NBAPA is not happy with the leagues latest offer.

No one should be surprised by the latest hateful race based attack by B Gumbel. This fella has a history of seeing  virtually everything down the lines of race,be it sports,politics,culture doesn't matter. To me the funny thing and not haha funny is this guy in my opinion is the one with race issues. Gumbel cries about the racial makeup of the  Winter Olympic team just as an example.

The NBA lockout is an ugly thing.  David Stern has been the NBA commissioner since 1984 and has been credited with increasing the popularity of the league, but one thing he has never been accused of is being a racist.  HBO's Bryant Gumbel tried to do that is his Tuesday editorial on his show Real Sports.

There were some tense moments during NBA labor negotiations on Friday.  It got so heated that Dwyane Wade reportedly looked at David Stern and yelled, "I'm not your child."
