Siena College will introduce the eighth women's basketball coach in the program's history on Thursday. The school and former coach Gina Castelli mutually agreed to part ways, back on March 8. Castelli had been the coach for 22 seasons. There is an unconfirmed report that the new coach is Ali Jaques, the associate head coach at Northwestern and a former assistant in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conf

For the first time since 1990, the Siena women’s basketball team will be under new leadership. Siena and head coach Gina Castelli have reached the mutual decision to move in a new direction with the program. A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
