Ah, and in the end there was nothing to worry about.  According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, RG III will start Week One vs the Eagles on September 9, a Monday Night Football game on ESPN. The feud that took place during preseason about whether or not RG III would play any preseason games or Week 1 against Philadelphia between head coach Mike Shanahan and RG III, which Griffin later declared

Robert Griffin III and Mike Shanahan battled their way through preseason up until this point with RG III telling the media he wants to play in the exhibition games and that will be ready for Week 1.  Shanahan disputed RG III being ready for the opener and said the second year QB won't play much in the preseason if at all.
