RPI Names Captains
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) head football coach Ralph Isernia has announced that seniors Ted Abriel and Joe Cozzolino have been chosen by their teammates to serve as captains for the 2013 season. Abriel is a defensive lineman from Slingerlands, N.Y., while Cozzolino is a native of Chatham, N.Y., who plays tight end.
RPI Football Adds 2 More Coaches To Offensive Staff
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton has announced the hiring of Dan Laughlin and John McDowell to the football staff. Both will assume responsibilities coaching the offensive side of the ball under head coach Ralph Insernia and offensive coordinator Kevin Trigonis.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton today announced the appointment of Ralph Isernia as head football coach. A veteran of 22 years in coaching, he brings experience from Division III, Division II and the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly I-AA.
RPI Salvages Road Trip, Beats Colgate In Overtime
Sophomore Matt Neal buried a rebound with 10 seconds remaining in overtime to propel the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men’s hockey team to a 3-2 victory over Colgate University, this evening in ECAC Hockey play at Starr Rink. With the win, the Engineers improve to 15-12-5 (10-7-3 ECACH) and move back into second place in the league standings. The Raiders drop to 14-14-4 (6-11-3 ECACH). R
RPI Men’s Hockey Winning Streak Stopped At Six
Senior Greg Miller netted a pair of unassisted goals as the Cornell University men’s hockey team defeated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 4-1, in ECAC Hockey action from Lynah Rink. With the win, the Big Red improve to 10-13-3 (6-10-3 ECACH), while the Engineers, who lose for the first since January 26, drop to 14-12-5 (9-7-3 ECACH).
Union Moves Up
After opening ECAC Hockey play with a home-and-home series sweep against RPI, Union climbed two spots to No. 7 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and up to No. 8 in the USCHO.com Poll. Union received a first place vote in each poll for the fourth consecutive week.

College Football Season Opens With UAlbany Win, Union Loss
As the RPI football team sat idle this past weekend, the College Football season got underway across the country, including a pair of games here in the Capital Region. The final results from both games were on different ends of the spectrum, as Union suffered a tough 17-14 loss to Salve Regina, while UAlbany opened their final season at University Field with a 41-20 victory over Colgate.
RPI Football Names Offensive Coaching Staff
As the Engineers approach the 2012 season in just over three weeks, new interim head coach Bob Bodor has had a lot of work to do, both on and off the field. Among those off-field tasks was determining his coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball, and Coach Bodor has made his final decisions.
