Just when you think that Glens Falls native and BYU star Jimmer Fredette was going to slow down in the NCAA Tournament, he dishes out yet another incredible performance.

It's down the final weekend of the high school basketball season as 5 Section II teams will all be going for New York State Championships.

Talor Battle's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament didn't last long. Juan Fernandez hit a game-winning shot with 0.4 seconds left giving Temple a 66-64 victory over Penn State in a West Region matchup in Tucson.

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament gets underway on Thursday (well, really on Tuesday - but I'm not counting the "play-in" games) and the Capital Region will be well represented.

Glens Falls' Jimmer Fredette isn't the only former Section II basketball standout getting it done at the next level.  Bishop Maginn graduate Talor Battle has the Nitany Lions in a position to make their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years.

Heading down the college basketball home stretch, Glens Falls native Jimmer Fredette is in a head-to-head battle with UConn's Kemba Walker for the National Player of the Year award.  After Walker dropped 33 points in the Huskies Big East Semifinal victory over Syracuse, it was Jimmer's turn.
