Mark your calendars for a night of tasty meals and community love, where every tip goes toward supporting our local athletes.

Just like all the other sports leagues the Special Olympics have been forced to to suspend their operations. Special Olympics New York President and CEO Stacy Hengsterman joined Levack and Goz to tell us how the Special Olympics are keeping their athletes in the fold while they can't interact in person. We also ask Stacy how we can help the Special Olympics right now while we wait for the athletes to compete again. There also may be a bench press challenge between Levack and a few of the Special Olympics Power Lifters coming soon.

The ABC Spartans is a group of Special Olympics athletes who have found a love of Power Lifting. One of the first things you learn when you get a chance to spend time with the athletes of the Special Olympics is they can do anything. When the training of the coaches comes together with the passion and drive of athletes like Matt AKA "Muscles" all sports are within reach including Power Lifting.

I paid off my Jeter bet over the weekend by jumping in Lake George with a couple hundred of my closest friends. It was 'Polar Plunge,' benefiting Special Olympics New York.

This is a very important week for Special Olympics New York, as they have nearly 100 athletes from across the state and 8 athletes from right here in the Capital Region who are in New Jersey competing at the Special Olympics National Games!
