Yesterday was a big day at Shenendehowa as 17 student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent. And perhaps none were bigger than basketball star Kevin Huerter.

Huerter, the lanky guard with great court vision and a great ability to hit outside shots, signed on to play with the Maryland Terrapins.

He had offers from more than 20 schools. The NLI had Terps head coach Mark Turgeon happy.

Turgeon also spoke about Huerter for the first time officially:

“Kevin has great size for a guard and possesses tremendous versatility. He has great point guard vision and instincts and also has the ability to stretch the floor with his outstanding shooting range. Kevin is young for his class and his development for someone so young is just outstanding. We have extremely high expectations for Kevin and are excited for his bright future at Maryland.”
