Leukemia And Lymphoma Light The Night Walk Features Siena Basketball And A Good Cause
A co-ed event to raise awareness and funds for a great cause, the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night Walk will feature both the Siena Men and Women’s basketball teams along with the cheer squad as well. The event takes place on the academic quad at the center of the school’s campus.
Several players from each team will participate along with men’s coach Mitch Buonaguro, who will speak to the crowd.
Last year, thousands around the country participated and the event has helped raise millions to fight blood cancers. More then 185 communities took part last year in the Light the Night festivities. The night is not only one of remembering and raising funds but also a celebration of those who have fought different types of blood cancers and had success doing so.
Last year nationwide Light the Night events raised over $50 million. For more information you can call the NY chapter of Light the Night at (518)438-3583.
