Perhaps Keith Kinkaid was a little upset losing a possible shutout Saturday night at the Times Union Center with just over two minutes to go in a Devils 3-1 win over Bridgeport. After all, shutouts aren't an easy accomplishment. Kinkaid came back Sunday in Connencticut and blanked the Whale 1-0 behind Kinkaid.

Kinkaid made 30 stops in leading the Devils to their third straight victory and improve their record to 7-8-0-5.

The only goal of the game came in the second period as Joe Whitney broke in on a 2-1 with Bobby Butler and finished off the play with his fifth goal of the season and third in his last three games.

Kinkaid's shutout was his second of the season and fifth in his career. He stopped 30 pucks in the Sunday afternoon at the XL Center.

Connecticut's Can Talbot was solid as well stopping 26 of 27 shots, the lone puck to beat him being Whitney's.

The Devils go for their fourth straight win Wednesday night when they return home to tangle with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Times Union Center.
