Head Coach Brian Fruscio continues to prove why he is one the top coaches in the State. Albany Academy has won back to back New York State Federation titles and 3 out of the last 5. He has taken the Academy program to a different success level than the rest of the teams in Section II. Beating New York City teams is never easy and Academy is doing it on a consistent basis.

Arguably the best player in New York State, Hameir Wright, has the eye of every big college basketball program and coaches will have another year to look at the ever-improving game of the 6-foot 8-inch stretch forward. Wright will play next season at Blair Academy. His graduation, along with Will Bennett and CJ Mulvey, hardly leaves the cupboard bare for Fruscio. August Mahoney is already one of the best shooters in the area and he will begin next season as Albany Academy's primary scoring threat.
