Things are reaching a fever pitch, pun intended, at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx.

Major League Baseball's Winter Meetings are currently underway in San Diego. As part of that, free agent players, and their agents, are meeting with representatives from the 30 MLB teams. Contracts are being negotiated, and major decisions are being made.

The free agent player every team wants to have on their roster next season, is Aaron Judge. That's exactly why reports that Judge was "wearing a different jersey" might've scared a few New York Yankees' fans this morning.

Aaron Judge Spotted in "New Jersey" Last Night in Tampa Bay

Let's begin with the important part of the story: no, Aaron Judge has not signed with a Major League Baseball team yet. He hasn't signed with the Yankees, but, he hasn't signed with another franchise, either.

What actually happened last night, was that Judge and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, travelled down to Tampa Bay to watch Monday Night Football. Judge was spotted wearing a "different jersey", but fans shouldn't freak out, as he was simply wearing the jersey of the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Judge was also spotted shaking hands with fellow professional sports superstar, Tom Brady, and was seen on the sidelines at Raymond James Stadium, too.

So, for the time being, Yankees' fans don't have to panic about a news report that Aaron Judge was spotted in a non-pinstriped jersey. That being said, it seems as though Judge won't be a free agent much longer.

Reports have surfaced that, after the Yankees made Judge a contract offer of eight years and $300 million, the San Francisco Giants responded in a big way. The New York Post's Jon Heyman reported that Judge was offered a salary "in the neighborhood" of $360 million from the Giants.

That's a lot of money, and the kind of contract that can lure any long-time fan-favorite away from his home team.

This contract negotiation will completely change the make-up of the New York Yankees, both for this season, and for seasons to come. If you sign Judge to the massive contract he deserves, you will have locked down your franchise cornerstone, but will need to be prudent in the decisions you make for the rest of your roster.

If you aren't able to retain Aaron Judge, you'll lose your fanbase's favorite player, but have financial flexibility to improve the roster in other ways. There's no one "right" answer, and unfortunately, tons of questions that still remain unanswered.

Hopefully, for the sake of Yankees' fans everywhere, this is the last time we'll have to talk about Aaron Judge in a "new jersey" for quite some time.
