Barstool Sports Raises $600K for Fallen Upstate New York Police Lieutenant
This past Sunday, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Hoosock was tragically killed while on duty.
The 37-year old Hoosock, as well as 29-year old Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen, were both caught in gunfire from 33-year old assailant Christopher R. Murphy, per Syracuse.com.

In the aftermath of this senseless tragedy, countless individuals and businesses are stepping up to support the loved ones of Hoosock and Murphy. That group includes Barstool Sports, and their founder, Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy and Barstool put a t-shirt out on their online shop, and committed to donating all proceeds to the Hoosock family. Take a look:

Portnoy and Barstool have shown a penchant for giving back to the community, especially since 2020. They launched The Barstool Fund, which to date, has given over $41 million to local businesses.
They've also partnered with the NYPD and FDNY in recent years to help amplify their annual charity hockey game.
