Biggest Matchups to Watch in Week 2 w/ESPN’s Freddie Coleman
Is Sunday night's game more critical for the Giants or the Cowboys? Both teams lost their season openers and even as early as a week 2 matchup, this feels like an incredibly important game for New York and Dallas.
The Giants have had their recent struggles in Big D, but after their week 1 performance at Carolina, the Cowboys look like a team that might just flat-out struggle. Dallas only scored 8 points against the Panthers and that touchdown and two-point conversion didn't come until late in the game.
Will the Jets duplicate their dominating performance from Monday night in the home opener against the rival Dolphins? We would be foolish to think there won't be growing pains for a rookie quarterback, but Todd Bowles' defense looked fast and fit for any fight.
The Bills are pivoting quickly from not wanting to start rookie Josh Allen behind a weak offensive line to throwing the top-10 pick out there this coming Sunday against the Chargers. Some would say the only way to learn is to do.
And that brings us to the Patriots who travel to Jacksonville for a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game. New England won that game a year ago and with Leonard Fournette questionable for Sunday, the Pats look to be in good shape for this showdown.
