What was the best secondary in football (Yes, even better than the Legion of Boom) lost their best player on Sunday.  The Arizona Cardinals lost elite safety Tyrann Mathieu for the remainder of the season and a potential deep playoff run after he tore his right ACL in a blowout win of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mathieu jumped into the air to intercept a Sam Bradford pass, but landed awkwardly on his right leg when he landed, falling to the turf in pain.  This is the "Honey Badger's" second ACL tear; he tore his left ACL in his rookie season.  Mathieu led the team with 5 INT's and 16 passes defended.

This is a tremendous loss for a team that had a chance at a Super Bowl in their sights.  This injury really hurts their chances at a title, especially because other teams are going to be getting healthier come playoff time (Panthers Jonathan Stewart and Seahawks Marshawn Lynch will likely both be active).

What do you think?  How much does Mathieu's injury affect the Cardinals chances of competing for a Super Bowl?
