I will be surprised if Chad Brown runs Cloud Computing in the Belmont Stakes June 10th. It’s too quick of a turnaround, especially if Brown’s ultimate goal is to run in the Travers. The Mechanicville trainer is better off skipping the Belmont and running his three year old in either one of the two traditional preps the Jim Dandy or Haskell. The Belmont would benefit from having the Preakness winner, but Chad says the race he wants to win the most is the Mid-Summer Derby, then resting Cloud Computing makes the most sense.

Cloud Computing had a 6-week layoff before winning the Preakness and although there may be some pressure felt by NYRA as a New York-based trainer, Brown is thinking long term for Saratoga and beyond.
