Chevy Chase Coming To Albany For ‘Christmas Vacation’ Screening
It is an all-time Christmas classic that features one of the great comedic actors of all time, and you can see both at the Palace Theatre this December.
Every year on November 1st, when the Halloween season is done, my wife Stacy and I put up our first few Christmas decorations and then settle in with a glass of wine for our first 'Christmas Vacation' screening of the season. And then we watch the holiday classic about 20 more times between then and Christmas, quoting the movie endlessly along the way:
It's not going in our yard Russ, it's going in our living room.
Where do you think you're going to put a tree that big?
Well, I don’t know what to say except it’s Christmas, and we’re all in misery.
Surprised, Eddie? If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than I am right now.
I can go all day! If you have the same affinity for the greatest Christmas holiday movie of all time you can see a special screening that will also feature a Q and A with Chevy Chase himself!
It's Chevy Chase plus a special screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at the Palace Theatre Wednesday, December 15th at 7:30pm. This is a super rare opportunity to see all those legendary quotes and scenes in a theatre setting, which will be followed by a special Q and A session where Chevy will tell stories about his legendary movie and television career, and I am sure about his most famous role as Clark Griswald.
Tickets for the special event go on sale this Friday at 10 am through Ticketmaster and in person at the Palace Theatre box office.
