Denver’s Front Four was Fabulous
The New England Patriots had beat the Colts because LeGarrette Blount had a career day and coupled with Stevan Ridley, the two had six rushing touchdowns.
Denver saw that film too and even against the great Tom Brady, the Broncos made it a priority to stop the run.
Blount might as well have stayed home with five carries for six yards. Ridley had five carries for 17 yards. The Patriots only wracked up 64 rushing yards on a day where Brady needed all the help he could get.
The Broncos put all the pressure on the future Hall of Famer to be perfect and on this day and this game, Brady was far from it (24 of 38, 277 yards).
Terrance Knighton, the 335-pound Broncos defensive tackle should get the credit to start. He had four tackles and a timely 4th down sack in the 3rd quarter. Knighton plugged the hole and dictated where the Patriots fed the football.
