It certainly didn't look  promising Saturday night for the Albany Devils. On the road going against 1 of the best teams in the East in the Binghamton Senators the Devs dug themselves a 3-1 deficit in the 2nd period. Fear not however as Albany scored 4 straight times and defeated Binghamton 5-3.

Riding a 4 game slide the odds were getting any better after early goals by Sens players Borowiecki, Pageau, and Prince. However down by 2 Albany kicked it into gear. Steve Zalewski started the comeback with his 10th goal of the season at 5:52 of the 2nd. Mike Sislo scored hos 4th less then 5 minutes later that ties the game at 3. Before the period ended. Joe Whitney's power play goal with 23 seconds left gave Albany the lead for good.

Phil DeSimone capped off the night and the scoring and the Senators with his 6th tally of the year just after the halfway point of the final period.

Jeff Frazee was strong between the pipes stopping 36 shots. He lowered his goals against to a solid 2.42 for the year. Side note the Devils had 20 shots on goal themselves in just the 2nd period alone, 35 for the game.

Albany will continue to play the schedule Sunday  on the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. They will be opposed by the Hershey Bears. The Devils will go without Forward Jacob Josefson who once again has been called up to the NHL's New Jersey Devils. They do get back Forward Harry Young after he was re-assigned from Trenton of the ECHL.
