Details are early but according to several reports former Yankee outfielder Andruw Jones proved he still has some fight in him, pathetically, if the reports are true that fight is with his spouse, not attacking a baseball. Jones was arrested early Christmas morning according to reports "celebrating" by dragging his wife down stairs and claiming he wanted to "kill her."

Those quotes come courtesy of Jones's wife Nicole who claimed her husband became belligerent after she asked him to help her decorate the house for Christmas morning, this according to a police report which was obtained by the Associated Press.

The police report claims according to Nicole Jones that Andruw, who was said to be "intoxicated," dragged her down the stairs by her ankle then got on top of her, choking her, and claimed "he wanted to kill her."

Mrs. Jones claims, due to her husbands "level of intoxication," she was able to shove him away and leave the home to go to her parents home. The police report supposedly claims authorities found injuries on Nicole's neck. Police woke Andruw from what they claimed was a drunken sleep and he was " dazed."

Jones is free on bond at the present time. The Yankees chose not to re-sign Jones after a dismal 2012 season, especially in the second half when Jones was used sparingly and couldn't buy a hit. He finished the season hitting a paltry .197. Jones recently signed a deal to play in Japan for the 2013 season.
