There is no better training facility for baseball than the All Stars Academy in Latham lead by head instructor and director of teams, Matt Frey. We already started a new season in Little League but we are set to embark a new journey for the great travel teams at All Stars soon while the High School season is happening. Make sure to listen to our interview above with Coach Frey as well as glance at a few of the prospects and what Coach said to us about them below:

  • Right now their oldest team is 16 and have 9 division 1 committed players at that age group with a lot more to come. Playing tournaments in Georgia, Alabama and Florida against some of the top teams in the country has been a key to success in getting these kids exposure especially in the age of the pandemic.
  • There are couple players getting some professional interest and will have to make some tough decisions in a couple of years. One of those kids is Michael Kennedy from Troy who is committed to LSU and is a Lefty pitcher. He led Section II in strikeouts as a Freshman.
  • Gavin Van Kempen from Maple Hill has gotten up to 94 MPH and has definitely started to turn some heads as well. Van Kempen is committed to play baseball for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
  • Troy is going to be a tough out with the aforementioned Kennedy as well as Austin Francis and Danny Rogers who have committed to Hartford and Rutgers respectively.
